A few books and products I'd love to share with you...
Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams
by Matthew Walker, PHD
I listened to this book on Audible and made several adjustments to improve my sleep. Impressed with the content and readability, I bought a hard copy as reference. I even bought a copy for my doctor after reading the statistics related to misdiagnosis and mistakes in surgery from medical professionals who do not get enough sleep. This is valuable book for your health and easy to read.
I love the feel of the book in my hands. Book Darts give me confidence knowing I’ll find that quote or passage when I need it. They mark your spot simply and elegantly. I often slip a few on the first pages of a book so I have them handy. They work well on manuscripts reminding you where you left off or where something needs changing. They’re a perfect gift for readers.
What the Wind Knows
by Amy Harmon
I love this book! The story is riveting, the plot unexpected and I felt Irish history first-hand, not a textbook version. I didn’t want to put the book down from the opening chapter. This is one of my top fiction picks. A must read!
Gift from the Sea
by Anne Morrow Lindbergh
I identified with Anne’s journey and how relationships must change to stay viable. You could easily read it in one sitting. However, reading it aloud a chapter at a time with my husband opened beautiful conversations. A timeless book and a cherished gift. (I bought eleven copies last year alone.) Order on Amazon
Embracing Change: Your go-to guide to your desired future
by Rudy Poe
Rudy is the captain and navigator of change. He’s a sailor, filmmaker, a partner in a successful entrepreneurial enterprise, and traveler. ‘Onward’ is his by word. If he imagined it, he’s done it. In these times of quantum change, he’s the perfect person to offer guidance on how to step into your next incarnation joyfully. His book is engaging, easy to follow including his own real-life examples. His humor helps relax you into the next step of your transformation.
by Glennon Doyle
A friend called today to thank me for the referral of Untamed. She said it changed her life and the way she sees herself. It has also opened-up conversations with her daughter. It is a book of empowerment that will make you cry, laugh, wake up and see the world with new eyes.
Life Around Zangles, handmade bath bombs
Reading is relaxing and so is soaking in a tub with good music and sometimes a good book. If you’ve purchased bath bombs in other places you know they can be expensive. These are reasonable, 12 for $26.80 and beautifully packaged. The variety allows me to choose one to match my mood of the moment. They’re not a book, but they will prepare you for a good read.
The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles by Steven Pressfield
This is one book that sits within arms-reach of my desk. Pages crimped, notes underlined and the cover’s a bit tattered. It’s short chapters and sage advice can be accessed randomly. Open to any page for a laugh, support, entertainment, or encouragement. Your creative work is a gift to the world. As Steven says, “Don’t cheat us. Give us what you’ve got!”
